For the department "Electromagnetic Environmental Effects" we are looking for an "EMC & TEMPEST Testlab employee (f/m/d)" at the location Ulm in Germany.

The department EME (Electromagnetic Environmental Effects) as part of the department "Environmental Engineering, EME & Machinery Safety" is responsible for the support of the HENSOLDT Sensors GmbH projects / programs regarding the topics EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), Spectrum Compliance, Electromagnetic Fields (EMF / RADHAZ), Lightning Protection, (N)EMP ((Nuclear) Electromagnetic Pulse), HIRF (High Intensive Radiated Fields) etc.. This includes the preparation of the required documentation, the corresponding system engineering as well as the provision and documentation of the metrological verification in the department's own EMC and TEMPEST test laboratory.

Your Tasks

• Execution of EMC tests according to military, aeronautical and commercial EMC standards at the HENSOLDT Sensors GmbH site in Ulm, Germany
• Development of specific EMC protection measures
• Preparation of EMC analyses, test plans and reports
• Execution of TEMPEST measurements including possible hardening of the DUTs (measurements according to the national BSI zone model)
• Performing and documenting measurements of the transmit spectra of radio equipment according to ITU-R / ETSI standards
• Execution and documentation of personal protection measurements regarding the exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF) according to EN standards.
• Performance and documentation of tests on power supply lines against corresponding interface standards

Your Profile

• Successfully completed training as a technician or studies in the field of electrical engineering or comparable
• Measurement experience and knowledge in the field of electromagnetic compatibility or with focus on high frequency technology
• Previous knowledge in the field of TEMPEST desirable
• Sound knowledge in handling IT components with Windows operating systems (establishing connections/ generating data traffic etc.).
• Good MS Office skills
• Fast comprehension of complex technical / physical contexts
• Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills and flexibility
• Structured and conscientious way of working
• Good knowledge of German and English
