Descripción completa del empleo

The Really Great Teacher Company is recruiting online Finnish teachers.

  • Location: Remote. You must be based in a European Union country.
  • Job type: Freelance / contract, part-time
  • Pay: USD 16 per teaching hour

About the role

Finnish is famously hard, which is exactly why great Finnish teachers are in demand. We're hiring online Finnish teachers to teach adult professionals who are relocating to Finland or working with Finnish-speaking teams.

You'll teach live online classes of 40 or 80 minutes, at every level from beginner to advanced. The platform and course materials are provided, so you can focus on teaching.

What you'll do

  • Teach live online Finnish classes to adult corporate learners
  • Adapt each lesson to the learner's level and work goals
  • Give clear, encouraging feedback on progress

What we offer

  • USD 16 per teaching hour, paid as a freelancer
  • Flexible scheduling: you choose when you're available to teach
  • Remote work from anywhere in the EU
  • Motivated adult learners with real reasons to learn

Requirements

  • Fluent Finnish at CEFR C2 level
  • A bachelor's degree
  • At least 120 hours of language-teaching training (for example a teaching degree, a Finnish as a second language (S2) qualification, or a CELTA/TEFL-type course)
  • Teaching experience, ideally with adults or corporate clients
  • Based in an EU country and able to work as a self-employed contractor
  • A reliable internet connection, a computer with a webcam, and a quiet place to teach

This role may suit S2 teachers looking for additional hours, university Finnish lecturers, and teachers with a background in Finnish or Finno-Ugric studies.

How to apply: Apply through Indeed with your CV in English.

We welcome applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion or belief, disability, sexual orientation or any other protected characteristic.

Job Type: Part-time
