The J - 1 Visa Internship & Trainee Program allows international hospitality and culinary talent to gain professional experience in the United States while improving English and experiencing American culture. J - 1 Internship: For current students or recent graduates (within 12 months) in hospitality, tourism, or culinary programs. J - 1 Trainee: For young professionals with a degree + 1 year of experience, or 5 years of experience in the field. Programs are full - time, typically 3, 6, or 12 months, and follow a structured training plan approved by a U. S. Department of State–designated J - 1 Visa Sponsor.
