The UCAM-SENS unit and the Multifunctional Molecular Materials (MMM) Group are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to investigate distinctive organic and inorganic redox compounds, ultimately aiming to build (bio)chemical sensors for healthcare and sports monitoring.

Project Overview

This collaborative project between UCAM-SENS and MMM aims to revolutionize key sectors through the development of innovative (bio)chemical sensing technologies.

 UCAM-SENS focuses on the digital transformation of healthcare, sports, food, and environmental monitoring through advanced electrochemical and imaging-based sensing.

 MMM Group (University of Murcia) specializes in the design, synthesis, and study of organic molecules for applications in organic electronics, supramolecular self- assembly, and chemical sensing.

By merging expertise in electrochemistry, analytical chemistry, and organic electronics, this project will explore novel monitoring solutions in sports and healthcare settings. Research activities will take place in the HiTech (Health, Sport, and Innovation Hub) research building and the University of Murcia laboratories, offering an international, multidisciplinary research environment.

Eligibility Criteria

We seek a highly motivated candidate with a multidisciplinary background and strong analytical skills.

Required Qualifications

 Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.

 Completed M.Sc. degree in a Organic / Inorganic Chemistry.

 For non-Spanish degrees, please convert final grades to the Spanish grading system.

Preferred Experience

Candidates should demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas:

 Organic chemistry / Supramolecular chemistry

 Inorganic Chemistry

 Electrochemistry

 Organic electronics

General Skills
