Are you passionate about early childhood education and eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic international preschool environment? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Intern to join our team at Peekaboo. This internship opportunity offers a unique chance to learn from experienced educators (EYFS curriculum), develop essential teaching skills, and contribute to the growth and development of young learners.
Your responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Support classroom activities, including circle time, arts and crafts, storytime, outdoor play, and more.
- Create a safe and nurturing learning environment where children can explore, experiment, and develop their curiosity.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive and positive classroom community.
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and milestones, and contribute to progress reports for parents.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to children, addressing their individual needs and interests.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized classroom that encourages learning and creativity.
Qualifications:
- Recent graduate or currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology or a related field.
- Genuine passion for working with young children (10 months - 4 years old) and helping them thrive in a learning environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with children, and colleagues.
- Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude towards taking on new challenges.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing preschool setting.
- Eager to receive guidance and feedback from experienced educators to continuously improve teaching abilities.
- Previous experience working with children (volunteer work, babysitting, tutoring, etc.) is a plus.
