In 1998, entrepreneur Jack Penrod introduced the world to Nikki Beach, the first and original luxury beach club concept that combines the elements of music, dining, entertainment, fashion, film and art into one. Today, the Nikki Beach concept has transcended its international venues and grown into a global, multifaceted luxury lifestyle and hospitality brand comprised of a Beach Club Division; a Hotels & Resorts Division; a Lifestyle Division; a Special Events Division and Nikki Cares, a Non-Profit Charity Division.

Internships;

Social Media / Digital Media internship

• Independently research, familiarise and analyse locations social media platforms and write a report / presentation of the outcome to be presented to the mentor
• Together with your mentor, establishing clear personal targets for the duration of program and coming up with the plan on how to support and achieve these goals across all platforms together with deadlines for each
• Independently research and analyse locations overall online presence (mentions, local websites, listings and so forth) and write a report / presentation of the outcome to be presented to the mentor
• Together with your mentor establish clear personal targets on how to improve on the online presence, have only accurate and preferred information coming up on key search results
• Participate in weekly content creation for social media platforms: includes securing relevant images, writing text, considering online brand partnerships with bloggers and influencers
• Combine and present social media analyses and weekly reports on performance to your mentor highlighting key feedback and improvements

Restaurant / Operational department internship - supervised by Restaurant Manager

• Ensure customer service standards and procedures are being followed
• Assisting on the floor with day to day customer service & restaurant duties
• Responding efficiently to customer complaints
• Ensuring absolute customer satisfaction
• Monitoring cost control and waste
• Learning and assisting with property opening and closing duties
• Creating power point floor plans and participating in delegating sections for optimal efficient service
• Managing and learning reservations and administrative duties
• Helping in composition of staff scheduling, organizing and supervising shifts
• Learning POS system training
• Maintaining restaurant and beach club revenue, profitability and quality goals
• Learning and assisting about cash out procedures

Events internship (private & public events)

• Shadowing the client meetings when private event inquiries come in
• Assisting and supporting with group bookings
• Studying the catering brochure, familiarizing yourself with our quotation (BEO) samples and work alongside with event manager when required composing the quotations
• Assisting with event set up / break down and during the private events
• Participate in team meetings when planning our public themed events and add input with ideas on decor and entertainment or promotion that could still be implemented at that stage
• Assist with themed events set up, supervise entertainment when this task is delegated to you
• Be on the floor during the themed events ensuring the execution and client experience goes smoothly
• Help with events and marketing administrative duties delegated to you

Front desk (hostess) internship – supervised by Restaurant Manager

• Front desk is the first impression that the client will receive when arriving to Nikki Beach, so it is essential that you greet them warmly and welcoming on their arrival. Excellent communication skills, professional attitude and looks are essential to this role. You will be dealing with many high profile demanding VIP clients, you need to be able to multitask and work well under stressful situations. Learn the information, so you can assist guests with their inquiries and be quick on your feet.
• Face to face client communication, welcoming and greeting and taking care of day to day front desk duties
• Helping with restaurant set up and break down
• Checking incoming messages and voice mail, answering any incoming phone inquiries
• Taking reservations and learning the reservation system
• Assisting guests with their inquiries during their visit
• Learning the location information, events calendar and company and brand history to be able better communicate with the guests
• Familiarizing yourself with the venue floorplans to be able to seat the guests as per their reservation

• Assist bartenders in their busy hours of operation
