DESIGN ENGINEER
Future Fibres is the market leader in composite rigging products for yachting. As part of the North Technology Group, we are at the forefront of
technology in the performance marine industry.

The Design Engineer will lead the design of advanced Carbon, Kevlar, and PBO fibre rigging, associated metal components, and supporting
hardware and tooling. The engineer will have an additional focus on machine design, engineering complex load-bearing assemblies from concept
to prototype and production.

He/she will be responsible for computational analysis, rapid prototyping, development, and implementation of mechanical load testing of materi-
als, components, and assemblies as part of the design process. They will research, test, and utilize advanced manufacturing methods.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Similar
• 3-5 years’ experience in mechanical or machine design field
• Excellent written and verbal communication English skills.
• A proactive self-starter and the ability to work under limited supervision to tight deadlines across multiple simultaneous projects.
• High attention to detail, including organizational skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Sharp, action orientated, and able to sell ideas convincingly.
• Highly proficient with Solidworks and Autocad.
• FEA of Mechanical Parts and Assemblies.
• Team player.
• Knowledge of design and manufacturing with composite materials is an asset.
• Experience in rapid prototyping and advanced component manufacturing methods is an asset.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• Knowledge of working with carbon fibre or glass is an advantage.

INGENIERO/A DE DISEÑO
Future Fibres es líder de mercado en productos de rigging, fabricados con materiales compuestos, para embarcaciones a vela. Como parte de
North Technology Group, estamos a la vanguardia en tecnología dentro de la industria náutica de alto rendimiento.

Actualmente, buscamos un/a ingeniero/a de diseño que diseñará productos de fibra de carbono, Kevlar y PBO, componentes metálicos aso-
ciados, hardware y herramientas de apoyo. El/a ingeniero/a se centrará además en el diseño de maquinaria, diseñando conjuntos complejos de
soporte de carga desde el concepto hasta el prototipo y la producción.

Será responsable del análisis computacional, la creación rápida de prototipos, el desarrollo y la realización de pruebas de carga mecánica de
materiales, componentes y conjuntos como parte del proceso de diseño. Investigará, probar y utilizarán métodos de fabricación avanzados.

FUNCIONES

REQUISITOS

• Licenciatura mínima en ingeniería mecánica o similar
• 3-5 años de experiencia en el campo del diseño mecánico o de maquinaria
• Excelentes habilidades de comunicación escrita y verbal en inglés.
• Proactividad y capacidad para trabajar con plazos ajustados en múltiples proyectos simultáneos.
• Gran atención al detalle, incluida la capacidad de organización.
• Gran capacidad de gestión de proyectos.
• Perspicaz, orientado a la acción y capaz de vender ideas de forma convincente.
• Dominio de Solidworks y Autocad.
• Análisis de elementos finitos de piezas y conjuntos mecánicos.
• Capacidad de trabajo en equipo.
• Se valorará el conocimiento sobre diseño y fabricación con materiales compuestos
• Se valorará experiencia en la creación rápida de prototipos y métodos avanzados de fabricación de componentes.
