At Rheinmetall Expal, we are looking for a Capex Buyer for our purchasing department in Madrid. Our subsidiary in Spain is dedicated to the manufacture of ammunition and weapons, specializing in artillery ammunition, mortars and medium caliber cartridges. In Spain alone, we have 7 plants distributed throughout the country, which have a state-of-the-art production network that supplies more than 60 countries.

The main functions of the position will be:

• Support and lead the daily operations of capital equipment procurement process, working alongside CAPEX Corporate team, manufacturing, technical program management, legal and finance teams
• Drive launch readiness with manufacturing engineering, technical program management and capex procurement teams.
• Drive make vs buy decisions by building business case and driving scenario analysis
• Develop and optimize the CAPEX procurement processes and procedures
• Develop tools and systems for Capex procurement team in collaboration with other cross functional organizations
• Build budgets and capex spend projections for future factories based on historical data and should cost analysis
• Review, maintain and analyze a wide variety of program data to support business decisions
• Build KPI dashboards with the data engineering teams for all capital equipment projects and programs tracking, cost savings and avoidance, supplier selection matrix, make vs buy analysis, supplier performance criteria, budget tracking, cost roll up , project execution status, gap analysis
• Ability to work with cross functional teams and serve as a liaison between stakeholders
• Work closely alongside CAPEX Corporate team to support reporting on build requirements, tracking sourcing progress and cost management

Ubicación: Presencialidad en Av. del Partenón, Madrid.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering
• 3+ years of relevant work experience (automotive program management, chemical or industrial manufacturing environment preferred)
• Appreciation for the art of managing evolving project requirements in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent English language
• Availability to travel (30%)
