You will join us as our new data scientist to work with large and complex data sets, with the autonomy to make a huge impact on the success of our mobile game titles. You will work as part of an experienced and highly skilled team with opportunities to learn and develop.

What You'll Do

  • Translate ambiguous business problems into measurable analytical components involving developing Statistical, Machine Learning models and simulation tools.
  • Research and implement model frameworks/techniques/methodologies to continuously improve the way of evaluating and monitoring player lifecycles, engagement, retention and payment trends, etc. in our games.
  • Write advanced SQL queries to extract/format data as well as use Python/ R to do exploratory analysis and develop models.
  • Translate computational solutions/statistical/ML models to implementable codes (mainly Python) and work with ML engineers to put the developed models into production.
  • Produce Model KPIs for monitoring the model performances post production to ensure the models work as expected.
  • Construct recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other related teams on Data Science and big data projects.

What We're Looking For

  • Ambiguity - able to deal with moderate levels of ambiguity by bringing clarity to the problem and communicating plans toward a solution with both technical and non-technical people.
  • Communication - able to talk, write, and listen effectively (in English) with business peers.
  • Business Acumen - understand key divisional business drivers, follow important game KPIs, familiar with key competitors.
  • Self-directed - suggest changes to high value process improvements, drive initiatives independently, maintain status updates, deliver project work in a timely manner with little supervision.
  • Analytical - experience with statistical and machine learning techniques, high degree of intellectual curiosity.
  • Good understanding of visualisations techniques and tools

About you:

  • Typically have 2+ years of related work experience.
  • Bachelor/Master/PhD degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent experience in a relevant role (Ideally Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Physics)
  • Experience in using Python and SQL. R-users are welcome but intermediate level of Python is required for this job due to the model productionalisation process.
  • Experience in working with large data sets, experience with moving computation towards the data layer.
