Position Summary

We are looking for a strategic, analytical, and creatively driven SMM Specialist to elevate our social media presence and actively contribute to the growth of our online communities. This role requires more than just publishing posts — we need someone who plans with intent, analyzes with depth, and executes with precision. If you are proactive, organized, and excited to experiment with content formats and engagement strategies, we would love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy, Content Planning & Plan Adaptation

  • Develop platform-specific social media strategies that align with each network's tone, audience behavior, and engagement dynamics.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of past content and adjust future plans based on data insights.
  • Align content planning with broader marketing and brand goals.

2. Content Ideation & Creation

  • Generate original content ideas that reflect the brand's voice and values.
  • Understand platform trends (e.g., TikTok’s viral formats, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) and recommend relevant content styles.
  • Work with the creative team to ensure the effective execution of video and visual content.
  • Utilize user-generated content where applicable and identify high-performing themes.
  • Possess basic graphic editing skills (e.g., Photoshop) to make quick design tweaks when needed.

3. Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and interpret metrics across platforms (engagement rates, reach, saves, click-throughs, etc.).
  • Prepare insightful performance reports that highlight key takeaways and suggest improvements.
  • Detect patterns and develop actionable recommendations based on data.

4. Collaboration on Boosting

  • Although advertising is managed by our media buyer, your working knowledge of paid campaigns will enable effective collaboration.
  • Suggest organic content worth boosting and participate in performance discussions.

5. Community Management

  • Engage with followers to nurture a vibrant and loyal community.
  • Monitor tags, mentions, and DMs; respond appropriately and professionally.
  • Repost high-quality user-generated content and integrate community feedback into future posts.

6. Smart & Timely Content Posting

  • Schedule and publish content at optimal times for each platform.
  • Use platform features like polls, stories, question boxes, trending audio, etc., to increase interaction.
  • Stay informed about algorithm changes and new social media functionalities.

7. Organization & Independence

  • Work in a structured, goal-oriented manner while remaining adaptable.
  • Take initiative in managing your schedule and executing tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively with content editors and planning managers, but remain self-accountable.

Preferred Skills & Qualities

  • Exceptional Copywriting Skills: Strong command of grammar and a keen eye for brand tone across captions, thumbnails, and visuals.
  • Language Accuracy: Ensure all content is polished and error-free.
  • Proactive & Creative Thinking: Frequently contribute new content ideas and formats, suggest process optimizations, and spot emerging trends before they peak.
  • Community Engagement: Respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional tone.
  • Basic Graphic Design: Ability to make quick adjustments using tools like Photoshop or Canva.
  • Detail-Oriented: Track analytics meticulously and follow up on what works — and what doesn’t.
