Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a German Payroll Specialist in our Barcelona office, with flexibility for remote work few days per week. The specialist will be working under the oversight of the Head of operation, to entirely own and manage the full payroll cycle for a portfolio of clients. This specialist position requires German speaking capabilities as well as mastering the German Payroll legislation.

Duties and key Responsibilities:

  • Provide payroll services to our clients, including establish and review of payroll timeline & policies, payroll calculation, payment management, whole payroll cycle process, to ensure an accurate, timely, and efficient payroll operation.
  • Ensure the operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities, including salary disbursement, overpayment recovery, leave management and reporting are accurate and deliver within appropriate timeframes and comply with relevant legislations.
  • Provide Payroll advisory services to the clients, including guidance and ensure client’s payroll policies and practices are following the local labour law and other related rules and regulation;
  • Act as the key contact for client communication and vendor management.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects for setting up new client in Payroll outsourcing services
  • Attend meetings as necessary as well as business events to represent BIPO Germany

Qualifications

  • Must have : At least 3 years of hands-on experience and ownership in managing end-to-end German payroll process
  • Must have : Business fluency in English and German
  • Must have : Strong client focus, sense of service
  • Must have : Sense of autonomy, proactivity and initiative
  • Must have : Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with pressure on timeline and service excellence
  • Must have : Experience in using HRIS, payroll systems

Other relevant experience and qualification

  • Knowledge and practice in DATEV LODAS payroll software
  • Eager to learn and grow
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to various cultural environment
  • Bachelor’s degree holder in Human Resource or any relevant field
  • Experiences of handling other countries’ payroll experiences will be a plus.
