Having started as a Lifeguard 14 years ago, Mary is now in charge of David Lloyd Finchley as the club’s General Manager. Managing all the different areas the club has to offer, Mary says “you need to be super organised, juggle lots of tasks and lead from the front”.

John Millar, Kitchen Supervisor @ Acton Park:
Responsible for running the kitchen at David Lloyd Acton Park, John manages the ordering, stock takes and financial aspects as well as making sure that all food is cooked to a high standard. Speaking about opportunities progression, John says: “you can take any direction - you’ll still have opportunities to progress within the department and within the company”.

Jack Claxton, Lead Personal Trainer @ Derby
Jack’s role includes one-on-one training, teaching Blaze and running Synergy classes. Speaking about what it’s like to start as a new Personal Trainer at David Lloyd, Jack says: “you get 40 gym-based hours which gives you time to learn the David Lloyd way and the David Lloyd brand. From there you’ll also get to do courses and get additional qualifications.”

Here at David Lloyd Clubs we encourage an environment where everyone belongs – you could almost call it a ‘second home’. With over 100 clubs covering the UK and Europe, plus a plan to double the size of the business by 2020 there’s never been a more exciting time to join us.
